POLICIES & PROCEDURES

TELECOM & DATA

Telephone and data service infrastructure have been installed by two primary service providers. Other service providers may be used at each tenant’s discretion, although partnership with one of the primary service providers may be necessary depending upon the specific telecom and data needs. Tenants are required to submit detailed installation plans to Building Management for approval prior to the commencement of any telecom or data work. Tenant-owned telephone and data equipment must be located within the Tenant's premises and not within the building telephone rooms, which are the point of demarcation for the telecom provider. Special conduit or electrical requirements, additional data connections, holes in the floor slab, fire caulk or other special work are the cost of the Tenant unless otherwise specified in the lease.

All telecom & data vendors are required to complete and submit a Telecom Building Entrance & Riser Agreement prior to commencement of any work and are subject to Duke Energy Center Security Policies and Contractor Rules and Regulations. Tenants are responsible for any damage, fees, costs or other problems caused by their chosen service providers and/or vendors. Contractor Access Request forms should be submitted to Building Management by the Tenant at least 24 hours in advance of the start of any work and preferably one week in advance. See the Contractor Work & Access page for more information.
